    The much loved Mooloolaba Christmas Boat parade will be around for another four years thanks to funding from the council.

Music lovers from all over the Sunshine Coast, including Mooloolaba, will be flocking to this annual event which celebrates environmentalism, Australian culture and community pride.     Forty nine inbound tour operators met with ten Sunshine Coast tourism operators in Sydney during the month of July. During this meeting the inbound tour operators (ITOs) took part in a one day workshop where they learned about tourism products in the Sunshine Coast.

  • Free Trips to the Sunshine Coast Given to New Zealand Holidaymakers

    In the month of June 2011 a trip to the Sunshine Coast in Australia was given away every day for a week on the New Zealand radio station MORE FM. An employee of the radio station spent some time in the Sunshine Coast in order to promote her travel experiences to potential travelers from New Zealander. She did this through an online travel journal.

  • Job applications proving tough on Australia's Sunshine Coast

    Lachlann Renolds is just one example of the jobs crisis in Australia's Sunshine Coast. According to the Sunshine Coast Daily, the 19 year old has put in scores of job applications, involved himself in many job trials and he even did stationery printing to stick posters on shop windows from Coolum to Mooloolaba, but he has yet to obtain work.
